Why Animal Assisted Wellness?

Being in the presence of animals and amongst nature can bring about a deep sense of connection and wellbeing. Horses, dogs and other animals have proven themselves invaluable in helping people heal - body, mind and spirit. At Stable Ground Wellness, we know this to be true. Our dedicated, professional practitioners facilitate inner and outer transformation with the assistance of our magical herd.

Premo

Premo is wise and kind with a bit of an attitude - Premo likes to “pretend” to be the boss, but quickly backs down when challenged. He is Atlas’s bff.

Henrietta

Henrietta holds a special spot in the heart of us all. She may be small, but she is mighty! Her super power is making people happy with cuteness and a crooked smile.

Nugget

Nugget!!! Her name says it all! She is the cutest little mini Nugget ever. Nugget’s size is small but she brings big energy to her work at Stable Ground.

Atlas

This special guy is the embodiment of kindness and wisdom. He wears a “Medicine Hat” (his black ears and crown) which, in Native American cultures, is said to be a spiritually strong marking. Horses with the Medicine Hat marking are known to exhibit fierce loyalty and have the ability to protect their riders from all harm. We believe this to be true of Atlas!

Bentley

19 year old Bentley has retired from his career as a riding horse and is now happily making sure that everything on the farm runs smoothly. He ‘s a playful guy and loves a good grooming and carrots - his favorite treat!. Despite what Premo may think, he’s the boss of the herd.

IN MEMORIAM - SADLY, WE LOST OUR BELOVED BENTLEY BUT KNOW HIS SPIRIT IS STILL HERE, GUIDING US FROM BEYOND.
